It was obvious that DVD RAM was superior when the format was first launched, but it was very expensive. What the reason is now for this format to be lagging behind in sales is completely unknown.

You can take your digital video camera out onto the road and make some very long films, then come back and edit them and burn off a DVD. You scarcely need to worry any more whether the film you are creating will be too long. Unless it is unbelievably long, it won't be.
