CD creator software comes with a variety of different capabilities, but most good programs are now able to do everything you would ask of them. There are many programs which can do this, but some are more flexible than others. One of the worst features of many of these programs is that they have a standard setting for the amount of silence they add between each track. The usual setting is two seconds, which can work well in many situations, but can be disastrous in others. If you have a recording of live music, you will want to set this number to zero so that the tracks run into each other.

There is free CD creator software which will allow you to do this, so there really is no excuse for the developers of the programs which will not. They really need to go back to basics and include this feature to be competitive. Just be sure to check the settings before you burn off a CD, especially if you don't use the same setting all of the time. With recordable CD media, you never get a second chance, no matter which program you have chosen for your CD creator software.
